Alexandra Mazur-Knyazeva completed MA in Moscow with specialization in applied arts. Alongside her education she successfully participated in numerous fine art exhibitions including all-Russian Young Artist Exhibition and biennale «Oui Vive?». She is an active member of The Union of Artists of Russia.
Having conducted several projects for Russian design studios at the same time with her creative practice she decided to focus more on design and get international experience. She graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, MA Design (Ceramics) programme and founded the Essence of Flame based in London.
All Alexandra's projects (please see Other projects) reflect her interest in the interaction between people and object. She is interested in creating objects that are changing while they are in use and building the emotional connection with the user. In the modern world which is overwhelmed with the plastic short-lived objects she is interested in designing objects that will bring more emotional moments in life of urban people.
